HELPING BRAVEHEARTS FIND DIGNIFIED WORK

For many disabled soldiers and war widows, the transition from military life or military loss into civilian income is not straightforward. A person may have discipline, courage, and responsibility, but may still need the right work environment, appropriate role matching, accessibility, documentation support, and an employer who understands dignity.

CoEB identifies suitable employment opportunities and matches beneficiaries to roles that fit their physical ability, location, background, education, family situation, and work preferences. We work with employers across sectors to create openings, and we stay engaged until the placement is stable.

What CoEB studies before placing a beneficiary

  • Nature of disability, mobility, medical restrictions, stamina, and work-readiness.
  • Education, previous service experience, language comfort, digital exposure, and transferable skills.
  • Location, commute, caregiving duties, children, elderly dependents, and family constraints.
  • Whether the beneficiary needs full-time work, part-time work, flexible work, remote work, or a sheltered transition role.
  • The employer’s willingness to provide respect, reasonable accommodation, fair salary, and a safe work environment.

How CoEB supports employment

  • Profile assessment – a detailed understanding of skills, physical condition, location, family responsibilities, and work preference before matching.
  • Role mapping – identification of jobs that are realistic, dignified, and suited to the beneficiary instead of forcing a person into any available opening.
  • Employer linkages – engagement with hospitality groups, retail brands, corporates, institutions, educational campuses, offices, and service providers.
  • Interview and preparation support – help with basic CVs, interview confidence, communication, documentation, and role clarity.
  • Placement and follow-up – continued engagement to ensure the work environment remains respectful, accessible, and sustainable.

Sectors CoEB focuses on

  • Cafes, cafeterias, kiosks, and hospitality support roles.
  • Retail, store assistance, inventory, billing, and customer handling.
  • Front-office, reception, administrative assistance, and documentation roles.
  • Facility support, institutional services, and office operations.
  • Digital and remote work for beneficiaries with basic computer or smartphone skills.
  • Local community-based roles that reduce commute burden, especially for women and persons with mobility challenges.

Who this is for

  • Disabled veterans seeking civilian employment after service injury or medical exit.
  • War widows and Veer Naris re-entering the workforce after years of family responsibility or grief.
  • Military spouses seeking flexible, part-time, or location-sensitive work.
  • Beneficiaries who need a dignified transition from welfare dependence to income confidence.
